Health is Wealth


Cliche as it may sound-Health is still Wealth. If you are sick, it will be hard to give a full 100% at work. Or you might not even work at all.You don't feel good. You avoid hanging out with your friends. You basically can't do anything.

A few people have told me that they have gym memberships and they don't go. Or if they did, they only went for a month and lose interest. In my case , I run on and off. I take a break at winter time but pick it up again at spring time. I occasionally do yoga. I play badminton once a week all throughout the year. In order to be encouraged to keep on running the rest of the 3 seasons, I sign myself up for half marathons in Spring or in the Fall. Otherwise, I'll be lazy and would be doing something less physical.  

I have to think of ways to motivate myself in going out for a run even if it's still slightly too cold for me. I put up signs like the photo to statistically see the benefits of merely taking a walk outside.

But in any case, as with anything else worth investing, you have to put up the effort. This still boils down to self-love. If you love yourself, you take care of yourself. If you take care of yourself, you'll be able to take care of the rest around you. If you want to have quality of life, you have got to invest in your health. Get off the couch and move!
