I was recently intrigued by the philosophies of Milton S. Hershey, founder of the famous Hershey Chocolate Co., after visiting The Hershey Museum in Pennsylvania during the weekend. His persistence and innovativeness as he was building his company expanded to what is now the town of Hershey in Pennsylvania.

His legacy and philosophies continued on with a thriving community in Hershey town. Providing quality products is an advertisement itself, he says. I learned of his unselfishness. When as soon as he was earning money, he was giving it away. He treated his employees with respect and provided them with benefits so as his employees can have a better and happy life. He supported everything that helped build their community to what it is now. He was the biggest advocate of education as exemplified by creating a school for the orphans. Hershey town is a reflection of his legacy and what he stood for.
"One is only happy in proportion as he makes others happy and only useful as he contributes his influences for the finer callings in life." -Milton Hershey
He was a giver. Businessmen like him is an inspiration-an inspiration that reminds us that standing by simple philosophies can go beyond ourselves where it creates a ripple effect to the people and community around you.
